Privacy Policy — Ascrollbox

This Privacy Policy explains what information Ascrollbox (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, Google account ID, and profile photo URL from Google. We use this to create and identify your account and to let you sign in on other devices.
Profile information you provide
You may set a custom nickname and profile photo, which are stored in your account and shown on any packs you publish publicly.
Content you save
When you save or share a video into the App, we store:
- The video's URL and the platform it belongs to (YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, or other).
- Its title and thumbnail, fetched from the platform's own public metadata (oEmbed / Open Graph tags) — we do not access your accounts on those platforms.
- Any tags/labels and notes you add.
- Whether you marked it as private.
Packs
Collections (“packs”) you create store a name, description, tags, and the videos inside them. If you publish a pack publicly, its name, description, tags, video list, and your nickname/profile photo become visible to anyone with the pack's share code — your email address and account details are never included.
Private section (PIN)
If you set up a PIN to lock your private videos, the PIN and your security question answers are stored only as one-way SHA-256 cryptographic hashes. We never store them in plain text and cannot recover them — if forgotten, you must reset them using your security questions.
Usage and account activity
We record login timestamps, login count, and platform (Android/iOS/Web) to maintain your account, and an internal log of actions such as adding, deleting, or publishing a video/pack. This log is used only for abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and admin support, and is not shared with third parties.
Advertising
The App shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) and interaction data to select, serve, and measure ads, and may use this data across other apps and services per Google's own policies. 2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure your account and saved content.
- Let you organize, share, and discover video packs.
- Protect the private section behind your PIN.
- Detect abuse and enforce the App's terms.
- Serve advertising that helps keep the App free.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Third-Party Services
Ascrollbox is built on the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

4. Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties except:
- With the Google services listed above, solely to operate the App.
- When you choose to publish a pack publicly (see “Packs” above).
- When required by law.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Your content is kept as long as your account is active. You can delete individual videos and packs at any time from within the App. To request full deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at admin@ascrollbox.com — we will process the request within a reasonable time.
6. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all network traffic, Firebase App Check to help block unauthorized access to our backend, and one-way hashing for PINs and security question answers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Children's Privacy
Ascrollbox is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at admin@ascrollbox.com to exercise these rights.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective date” above.
